Travel by Air
Southampton Airport provides a range of domestic and continental services. Southampton is also close to London, and well connected to London Heathrow Airport (through National Express Coach), and London Gatwick Airport (through Rail).
Travel by Rail
Southampton has two major train stations, Southampton Central and Southampton Airport Parkway. Visitors from London, the North, and air travellers can alight at Southampton Airport Parkway station. Visitors from the South Coast, South East, and South West can alight at Southampton Central Station.
Travel by Bus
Southampton is connected to London through National Express coaches.
Unilink bus services U6 and U2 connect Southampton Central to the Highfield campus. Service U1 connects the Airport Parkway station and the Southampton Airport to the Highfield campus.
Travel by Car
To reach the Highfield campus by car:
From the M3 – exit at junction 14, following signs for Southampton (A33). Follow the A33 into Bassett Avenue and follow the signs to the University.
From the M27 (west or east) – leave the M27 at junction 5 (Southampton Airport) and follow the signs to the University.
